KDE-upgrade destroyed my adressbook!

The same thing was happening to one machine on my network repeatedly, 
but I couldn't figure out how to recreate it to file a bug report.  
Maybe it only happens during KDE updates/upgrades?  I just kept 
restoring from one of the intact std.vcf_* files.

This issue is listed as fixed in 3.5.2:

Maybe you have a different issue, but take a look at this bug:

There are other dupes in the bug database, but this one has a lot of 
votes and is marked as resolved.
