KDE printer setup query

Go to http://www.linuxprinting.org
Browse the site, and look for the ppd file that matches your printer.  (Along 
the left side of the page you can browse by printer type).
Download that to a central location.
When you load up print manger and go through the process you went through 
above, instead of selecting a printer model in that list look at the bottom 
of the dialog box.  There will be a button labeled "Other" on the right.  
Click that and browse to and load up the ppd file you downloaded.
This is much better than hoping they put the right driver file in the 
packages.
I had an Epson Stylus Color 740 for years, and I fought this same time of 
problem.
