System Settings not being saved

Good morning all, or afternoon where you are..


I decided after reading this list for quite a while to give Kubuntu a  
shot.  I downloaded and installed this beautiful OS and I have some  
learning to do.  As a former SUSE user w/KDE it isn't all that bad.   
My problem occurs when in Administrator mode, I change the monitor to  
my Dell EFP 153 and then change the resolution to 1024X768, all is  
well until I log out or restart and it goes back to 640X480.  Am I  
missing something or is there a way to "save session"?  Thanks for  
your help in advance, this is a great list, and I now have a great OS.
