Yannis in KDE hit ALT+F2 (which means, hit them together)
Then type in:
konsole
hit enter

Then follow Matthew´s instructions...
> type 'sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf'

(just a side note on  that Yannis, do not type in the ' only what is
between them)
