IIRC, the drawback of using the AMD64 version of Kubuntu is that a few apps,
including Macromedia's flash plugins, and the w32codecs that enable you to
watch lots of different movie files have not been ported to AMD64, so you
won't be able to use those file formats or have flash animations in your web
pages.
