Hi,

Can you confirm, are you using dapper ? and are you successfully syncing a
zire 31 ?

I checked my permissions, they are OK since I am in the dialout group

dave at dave-comp:/dev$ ls -al ttyUSB*
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 188, 0 2006-03-19 19:30 ttyUSB0
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 188, 1 2006-03-19 19:30 ttyUSB1
dave at dave-comp:/dev$ less /etc/group
dave at dave-comp:/dev$

root at dave-comp:/dev#
root at dave-comp:/dev# cat /etc/group | grep dialout
dialout:x:20:cupsys,dave
root at dave-comp:/dev#

I have tried

chmod a=rwx /dev/ttyUSB*

just in case. still no go :(

Dave
