Easiest thing to do is list the issues on my G5 single (PowerMac 9.1) w/
Kubuntu Dapper Flight 5:
1) Yaboot still can't setup correct boot path for OS X. I posted a bug
report a looong time ago, but it is still listed as "unconfirmed".
2) Thermal control still isn't working.
3) After install, I get the following message at boot:
FATAL: Module fbcon not found
FATAL: Module vga16fb not found
mount: Mounting /dev/sdb3 on /root failed: No such device
mount: Mounting /root/dev/.static/dev failed: No such device or directory
mount: Mounting /sys on /root/sys failed: No such device or directory
mount: Mounting /proc on /root/proc failed: No such device or directory
Target file system doesn't have /sbin/init
/bin/sh: can't access tty: job control turned off
#
This last error also occurred when I installed Ubuntu Dapper PPC Flight
5. Does anyone recognize this as a known issue? If not, what does it get
filed under?
Cheers,
Brian
