Kmail won't save passwords

I installed it with apt-get, and now it works. I guess that parts of
it were installed, as Kmail _did_ pop up Kwallet when I first tried to
access those email accounts. And now that I installed kwalletmanager
via apt-get, it's already populated with 5 entries, three of which are
blank! That corosponds well with the three of five accounts that I
must enter a password for...
