kgpg support for subkeys?

I've asked this question in another list with no response. Does kgpg properly
support subkeys? My key has two or three subkeys, but when I try to select a
key to use only one subkey appears in the choices and it is the one I care to
use the least.
I don't know if this is related, but when (and only when) I sign mail from the
email account for which the subkey was created, the signature fails.
This problem only occurs with kmail/kgpg; the key works fine with
thunderbird/enigmail. The key was created with the gnupg command line tools.
