X.org stalls - problems with NVIDIA graphics driver?

I would think composite is a dead end, considering so much work is being
done to get the functionality into the X-server.  There is also called
AIGLX (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIGLX) out there, so right now, I
think everything is in flux.
