All you do is download from
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=84122 , get the
Azureus_2.4.0.2_linux.tar.bz2 file
put in your home dir,
tar xjf Azureus_2.4.0.2_linux.tar.bz2
cd azureus
./azureus
or you can run as /home/[user]/azureus/azureus , put it in your kmenu
about the bittorrent I havent installed it, but if you run it from
within a terminal then you should see if there are errors.
