Klamav Installation Problem

I would be grateful to hear from anyone that manages to get this programme working, many who I know using (K)ubuntu have had problems with it. There is a GUI applet called ClamTK which I now many of use have got working very well, but still I am aware that Klamav may offer more. The dependency issues of Klamav has been an issue with many acorss many disto's.
