Thank you Howard! I love it when I'm not the only one having a problem
(such as this one).
Jonathan, yes, it's still a problem after "sudo apt-get update && sudo
apt-get dist-upgrade "
It's even worse on my end. I can't even get a backtrace.
I was about to submit a bug report but I've not been able to determine
what package kded is part of.
I'm wondering if kded also controls the "cookie handler service".
Konqueror isn't saving cookies. I tried to fix that and got a response
of "Unable to start the cookie handler service. You will not be able to
manage the cookies that are stored on your computer."
I didn't realize there was a "Cookie Handler Service". It sounds rather
complicated (I'm thinking of Firefox and it's lack thereof. :-P ).
