I read this as "How do I add extra characters to the taskbar applet?"

If you hover over it, a little "grab bar" should appear (appearance and 
behavior varies with your KDE widget set).  Right click the grab bar and 
choose "Configure Character Selector" to yield a very simple dialog that 
allows you to enter and remove characters as desired.  Use KCharSelect to 
find the characters and paste them into this.
