amarok collection disappears when using mysql or postgres as collection db

Hello all:

I'd like to store my amarok music collection in an external database. However, 
whenever I try to use either pgsql or mysql after a short period of time (< 
2hrs) the collection disappears from amarok. The data is however still in the 
database. I've asked the question on the amarok forums but haven't received a 
response yet.

I think this is specific to my environment as I know someone else who uses 
pgsql to store his collection (he's using FC though).

There is no other amarok process using this database.
