us.archive.ubuntu.com down

Has anyone else noticed that the repository at us.archive.ubuntu.com has
been down at least since Su.  Considering that the duration of the failure
is now at least 4 days, I keep expecting an announcement somewhere about
the problem and a prognosis, but I haven't seen anything.  I'm new to
(K)ubuntu, so I'm wondering whether this situation is unusual.
