I have no idea if it could or not, but I have an old keyboard from '91, and
I've never been able to get the Xkb options to work properly on any version
of KDE or X11 on any distro on any Linux kernel dating back to 2001. Maybe
it *is* my keyboard. I never thought about it. I've asked for help at
various times, and gotten a lot of arcane old fashioned X11 suggestions I
never bothered to play with. I just let it go, because I don't know where
half of the things are I could get with that key are anyway, so I switch back
to English to type them.
