Kubuntu installation problems - addendum

Hello,

I have check to verify that the modem settings in Kubuntu are those used by 
XP.  I feel that if Kubuntu requires me to change the settings, I would 
prefer not to bother with it.  Thanks anyway.

Konqueror worked for me as well, i could surf the internet with no glitches
what so ever but i just culd not "apt-get" or "aptitude" anything, that is
what puzzled me to begin with.

My sources.list was also commented out, i really think that you should try
this ;)
