Another good resource that I use for more general linux-questions is the 
Linux Users Group (http://groups.google.com/group/linuxusersgroup/)

I like to distribute my questions across multiple lists wherever 
appropriate (makes me appear less talkative/annoying) but it's entirely 
up to you.  It's not a high-traffic list, though it does have a scary 
number of members (2,300+!).

I find that I need to load a weird little app for KDE that will enable 
my wireless card.  Mine is a Intel PRO/Wireless whatchamacallit that 
came in my laptop.  I don't use it very often, so my knowledge is 
sketchy at best.  There is an excellent wiki at Ubuntu's website which 
has information applicable to both Ubuntu and Kubuntu (the two are 
almost synonymous in my experience).
