Matricial Printer

Hi list!
I have one of those small matricial printer, usually used in comercial
places, but
it does not have any driver for linux.. This printer has some features such as
authenticator and till drawer.. But I dont need any of these feature,
I just want to
print... I imagine that it uses some standard protocol, but not sure!
Is there any .ppd that can be used in matricial printers??
