KDE 3.5.4 - unmet dependencies

Now that you have xubuntu installed, you should be able to open a terminal
and post the results of the apt commands you issued. The reason for doing
that is that a bug report may need to be filed so that those who maintain
the apt repositories can fix either the dependencies or the version number
of the programs.
