I tried to install the P2P system "ML Donkey" the other day. Aptitude
partially installed it, leaving it half installed.
Removing the half-installed part seems impossible. Reference the following
messages from aptitude when trying to purge it.
root at tilleyrw-desktop:/home/tilleyrw# aptitude
dpkg: error processing mldonkey-server (--purge):
Package is in a very bad inconsistent state - you should
reinstall it before attempting a removal.
(Reading database ... terminate called after throwing an instance
of 'std::logic_error'
what(): basic_string::_S_construct NULL not valid
Ouch! Got SIGABRT, dying..
Aborted
Can someone on the list who is more versed in the ways of aptitude please
enlighten me?
Thanks, Bob
