Thanks Tez, this worked after the first reboot. Then on the second
reboot it went back to the old problem. This is very odd. I shutdown
normally and no crash occured while running. What could the cause be?
The machine is a T22 Thinkpad. There is plenty of disk space (GBs) so
that can't be it. This was a new Kubuntu install, and the only problem
seems to be this xorg.conf issue.
