Problem setting up a printer

Hi All,

I am trying to setup a printer on my Kubuntu Dapper install. The printer is an
HP Laserjet 3030. I have tried as an SMB printer, a CUPS server printer, a
TCP printer etc.

Each time I can see the printer, load load the driver etc. Then when I print a
page is ejected but the only thing printed is the letters IB in the top left
corner.

The printer is connected to a Debian testing server using CUPS. Its also setup
as an SMB printer which the Windows workstations are using successfully.

It may not be significant but I cannot administer the local CUPS server
either. I get authentication failure using my own ID/passwd and that of root.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Richard
