konqueror toolbars defaulting

I am running Dapper and am having problems when I customise konquerors 
toolbars. Specifically I want a 'show terminal emulator' on the location 
toolbar so when file browsing I can drop to the command line at a click.

I set it up, it works, I shut down and restart konqueror a few times and 
sometimes it works - sometimes it does not but it is always there if I go 
into configure toolbar in konqueror so it should be showing up.

I have tried saving the profile, same problem

Does anyone else suffer from this problem - any workarounds ?
