Configuring Webcam

Hi,
I have an integrated webcam in my laptop (ACER Travelmate 8200), but I have no 
idea how to configure it. It seems that it should points to '/dev/video0' 
which does not exist on my computer.
Any idea what is the procedure to configure it?
