Hardware buttons like wifi and bluetooth

I have an ACER ASPIRE 1801 WSMi_2.93 and the buttons and the leds are
working perfectly (and annoyingly) in WIN XP
Can they be made useless with WIFI still working?
I'll test them with the latest UBUNTU Beta and let you know; ok?
