Editing file name extensions in Konqueror

I remember once that in Konqueror, when I hit F2 to change a file
name, the file name was automatically highlighted but the extension
was not. So tha tI could begin typing right away to replace the
current file name without worrying about changing the extension. I do
not remember if this was on Kubuntu or on Fedora. Now, while going
through the Konqi options, I cannot find where to enable this. Does
anyone know where it is?
