Your dhcp client will certainly overwrite it.  There are many other
applications that _might_.  Simply, if your work runs Windows systems, then
all _their_ machines are getting everything they need from the DHCP server,
and you can too.  There shouldn't _be_ multiple domains in /etc/resolv.conf
- you only belong to one.  There probably should be multiple DNS servers,
but that should be happening automatically.

It would be much easier if you explained what you think is wrong and what
you are trying to do.
