Newbie --Admin access problem... HELP!!

That's not what, imo, he asked.  

>From a console, use "kdesu kcontrol" to get into the KDE control center as
root.  That _is_ a bug, where every time you press the correct button to
get into "Administrator" mode, it takes you to the wrong page after you
give your password.
