first of all, launch it, so it runs in the background:

Alt+F2 and type in katapult
press enter.

Then type
alt+Space bar

you will see Katapult appearing in the middle of a window.

then start typing any program name, e.g., Konqueror

after you have typed konq you will see Konqueror icon in the katapult
window and the full name of the program being guessed. Once you see the
right program there, just push enter, whether you have typed the full
name or not.

The program will get launced!
