usb stick issue

OK, is there a way to fix this problem:

When I attach to my computer the usb stick, I do not see it in media:/ and I 
get an error message, saying that media:/sda1 could not be mounted.

Bu the stick does get mounted at /media/usbdisk

Is there a way to work around this? Edit some file?

Neither /etc/fstab nor /etc/mtab has an entry with usbdisk or sda1...

I did not have this problem in Hoary (flash drive would be shown as 
media:/sda1 and I could mount it myself and unmount...), but now I Have it in 
breezy...
