Yikes! Why put yourself through all that pain when the functionality is 
already built into OOo? :)

Tools -> Options, expand the "Language Settings" branch and click on the 
"Writing Aids".  VOILA!  You can now edit any of your personal dictionaries 
and the "always ignore" list.
