Breezy, iMac and Amarok

A follow-up to my post yesterday.  I have downloaded and installed akode and 
the gstreamer.mad applications and also run the 'killall artsd' command as 
suggested on the website.  Still having no success.

Also tried the XMMS package ... and it works perfectly out of the box!  So the 
setup works!!!  I would prefer to use the Amarok package if I can.

I am wondering if my difficulties stem from an incorrect choice of 'output 
plugin'.  My machine quotes 'alsasink' but also lists seven others.  Is this 
the correct choice for an iMac?  Where do I find the logs for sound device??
