Kubuntu Breezy and Amarok (iMac)

As the title suggests, I run breezy with my G3 iMac.  The machine has 256 meg 
of RAM.  It has served me well for some time ... and I am very pleased 
generally with the ppc support.  Running Amarok however is giving me 
problems.  I tried the Amarok help file ... but it doesn't load on my 
machine.  Is there anyone on this list who has been successful with Amarok 
installation and can routinely use it to play mp3 for example??

I recognise that iMac have a different sound system ... but my sound works 
very well - I get the most amazing 'broken bottle' sounds when I try (without 
success) to play a downloaded mp3.  Any help would be appreciated ... 

Alternatively would I do better to download and install XMMS?


My copy of Amarok is up-to-date with the Adept package manager (universes).
