Weird gtk_qt_engine_rc errors

I haven't been able to figure this one out, hence this message.

I recently (re-) installed K/Ubuntu (from scratch on a clean hard drive)
and it looks like perhaps the buggy gtk-qt engine has found a new trick.

Every time I run a GTK from a terminal  I get the following error message:

"/home/scott/.gtk_qt_engine_rc:136: error: unexpected character `{',
expected character `}'"

I've checked the .gtk_qt_engine_rc file and I can't find a problem on
line 136 (I assume that's the line the error message is referring to.

For good measure here are lines 127-143.  2 lines below the header that
includes "gtk-index" is line 136.   Am I missing something?

I see all kinds of GTK errors all the time when I run apps from the
terminal, but this one caught my attention because a) the gtk-qt engine
is a bit of a mess recently and b) this actually caused a few apps to
crash or slow down dramatically (I suppose till they figured out it
wasn't anything to be concerned about).

Specifically,   I was running "depkg-reconfigure debconf" (I wanted to
switch to the GNOME interface) and it came to very very long pause
during the process once that error message appeared.

But I digress..... is there something I'm missing in this file?  This
file is re-generated any time I change themes in KDE so I can only be
rid of it for so long before it comes back. :-)
