Itś an awesome piece of software, considering it's just a simple shell
script. Shows the power of KDE. To me at least :)))

I don't know about windows programs, but to convert from mpeg2 to
xvid, you can use mencoder. You already have it installed (I think),
and there's a HOWTO (gentoo-oriented, but helpful) here:

know of any graphical front end other than Konverter
<http://www.libsdl.de/projects/konverter/> and kmenc15
<http://kmenc15.sourceforge.net/>.
