Not much depending on exactly what you mean.  Kubuntu maintains the
KDE packages in Ubuntu.  

Ubuntu + KDE means you will have a system with Gnome and all of KDE on
it.  Installing Kubuntu means you get our choice selection of the most
useful KDE applications plus kubuntu-default-settings which has our
choice selection of the best tweaks to make KDE that little bit more
user friendly.
