I second that. Ubuntu/kubuntu is the first distro that I have used that
makes me use sudo (which I am capable of doing) but I should have the
choice of a root account or not. I do not go into the root account at
all on my other computers but having a root password just makes it
easier when having to do administrative tasks. Kubuntu is the first
distro to just work on my Averatec 5400 laptop and I plan on keeping it
there.
