Problems installing Gimp

Hi all,

I'm trying to use kynaptic or apt-get to install Gimp
on an AMD64 system.  It's failing on the library
libwmf0.2-7 with this error:

 MD5Sum mismatch

Obviously it didn't like the archive.  In a situation
like this, should I be just building the required
library from source, or is there something important
about relying on .deb packages to keep the packaging
system clean?
