How to clean up unnecessary dependencies?

OK, so you're assuming both synaptic and adept would use aptitude as a back 
end. Doesn anybody know anything about this?

Maybe one could find out by checking which processes are running during usage 
of synaptic/adept. (I'll look into that later.)

I also tried Googling for a few seconds trying to find an answer, with no 
luck... (Maybe I could try looking into that too later.)
