floppy problem

When I insert a floppy into the drive and click on the floppy icon in the 
media:/   , I do get it mounted, but I get an empty window media:/fd0

where it really does get mounted, is /media/floppy0/  , but I have to type 
that in. I have also created a symlink in /media/fd0 pointing 
to /media/floppy0 but that does not help.

How do I get the media:/fd0 point to the true mount location?

I am using Kubuntu breezy
