If you want to reconfigure your x session keyboard, in a terminal
(i.e. konsole), you can do:

$: sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

and you will be questioned for all the settings, including keyboard. 
I'm not sure how to change any other keyboard settings that are done
from the install program.

You might also be able to use the kde settings program (kcontrol).
