NTFS issues...

Add uid and gid commands to to the NTFS line in /etc/fstab:

/dev/hda1       /win           ntfs   defaults,uid=1000,gid=1000      
0       2
the uid and gid parts ------------------------------------------^

The next time that partition is mounted this will make the files owned
by the default user and group (which *should* be you).
