Hi all,

Well I said I would step forward if nominated, but at that time there was only two names for three seats. I guess I can't back out now after saying I would!

My name is Clive Johnston and although I have only become active in the Kubuntu community in this past year and a half, I have been beta testing Kubuntu for a very long time. I frequented the IRC channels but using random nicks. I was more as a lurker to hear what was going on in Kubuntu land.

Just before Jon's departure he encouraged me to start to learn how to package and with Philip's help I've continued that road. I've still a long way to go but I will try and help out if I have the skills to do so.

I do recognise that Philip, Myriam and Valorie have lots more experience than I do, but I will honour my word and add my name into the vote. I would also like to thank Valorie for nominating me.

With kind regards,
Clive Johnston

Good news! This morning Clive Johnston messaged me that if I nominated
him, he would accept! So: I hereby nominated Clive Johnston to the
Kubuntu Council.

In addition, this afternoon Myriam said that if I nominated her, she
would run again. So: I hereby nominate Myriam Schweingruber to the
Kubuntu Council.

So it looks like we have an election going, with four nominees for three spaces.

Please introduce yourselves to the Kubuntu Members, Clive (clivejo)
and Myriam (Mamarock).

I didn't introduce myself before; I've been on the KC for awhile, and
do mostly user help, user docs, promotion, other writing, and general
management stuff for Kubuntu. In KDE, I'm on the Community Working
Group and Student Programs (GSoc, GCi, SoK).
