Hello all.

I am writing here because I have no idea where else to go. Kubuntu does not have UPnP media support, because solid is not being built with upnp support. There is a bug report against this issue here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hupnp/+bug/975327.

As it is said in that report, solid can not be built with upnp support, because kde4libs is in main, and hupnp is in universe, so kde4libs can not have a build dependency against hupnp, which is needed for the upnp kio slave. hupnp has already been approved for integration into main, as stated in this fixed bug report, here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hupnp/+bug/682404

However, it is being two years, and everything is exactly the same. According to Michael Terry's last comment ( here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hupnp/+bug/682404/comments/14 ), in order for hupnp to be promoted to main, something in main needs to depend on it.

I understand that this would only need a change in the build parameters, yes? Me and others have already tested building solid against hupnp, and everything seems to work ok, as it is documented in both packages. Could someone please look into this and make the necessary flag changes so we can get this issue closed?

My deepest apologies if this is not the correct place to come with these issues.
