 12.04 LTS around the corner, it is time to be crisp with our language 
about what it means to be a LTS and an Ubuntu flavor. Part of the that 
is clearly delineating roles and responsibilities as well as 
articulating the criteria required to be accepted as LTS[1]. </span><br><span style="font-size:15px;font-family:Arial;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline"></span><br><span style="font-size:15px;font-family:Arial;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline">The
 wiki explains and outlines the guidelines required to be a recognized 
flavor as well as what is required by the tech board for LTS 
consideration. Further, the wiki explains what services and resources 
will be provided by Canonical and what is expected to come from the 
community.</span><br><span style="font-size:15px;font-family:Arial;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline"></span><br><span style="font-size:15px;font-family:Arial;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline">Practically
 speaking, not much should change. Community leaders should drive the 
flavors in terms of vision, direction, scope, day-to-day work items and 
release. Canonical is committed to providing the various bits of 
infrastructure as well as the platform upon which to build the flavors. 
The move aligns all flavors to a community driven and supported model
