Thank you, that helps. Yes, kpackagekit, not kpackagemanager. One more quick question: there has been at least one restart on both of those systems since I had the problems. Will the needed information still be in the logs, or should I try to reproduce the problem.<br>

ubuntu-bug <packagename><br>
<br>
In this case, kpackagekit is the package. It should automatically include<br>
some of the useful info for you.<br>
