I looked at this briefly, the patch doesn't apply to our package which
is still at Qt 5.3 and looks non-trivial to make it apply.  So I think
we'll have to live without this for utopic.

For the Qt/KDE file dialogs to work with remote URLs, you might want to 
backport this fix to your Qt 5.3 packages:

This fix is in Qt 5.4 alpha1 but not in Qt 5.3 or earlier.
