I realized that in the upgrade from 14.04 to 14.10,
kubuntu-restricted-extras had disappeared, so I installed it. It
recommended libavcodec-extra-53, which I then attempted to install,
since I need that to build Amarok from git anyway. This was the
result:
sudo apt install libavcodec-extra-53

Package libavcodec-extra-53 is not available, but is referred to by
another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:
libav-tools:i386 libav-tools

I am using Plasma 5, if that makes a diff. Will this be resolved as we
move the Plasma 5 packages into the archive?
